Residential & Commercial Snow Removal in Minnetonka

Reliable driveway plowing, sidewalk clearing, de-icing, and 24/7 storm response to keep your property safe and accessible all winter long.

Snow Removal You Can Count On When It Matters Most

Minnesota winters are unpredictable, but your snow removal should not be. At Lifecycle Outdoor Services, we bring the same reliability and attention to detail to winter services that we bring to our landscape design and build projects. When a storm hits at 3 AM, our crews are already monitoring conditions and deploying equipment.

We understand that snow removal is not just about convenience — it is about safety. Icy walkways, buried driveways, and impassable parking lots create liability and disrupt daily life. Our snow management programs are designed around trigger thresholds, proactive deployment, and clear communication so you always know when your property has been serviced.

We serve residential homeowners and commercial properties across the Lake Minnetonka area, including Minnetonka, Shorewood, Deephaven, Woodland, Hopkins, Eden Prairie, Excelsior, Wayzata, Orono, Chanhassen, and Victoria. From single-family driveways to multi-acre commercial lots, we have the equipment and crew depth to handle any accumulation.

Residential Snow Removal Services

Keep your driveway clear, your walkways safe, and your morning routine uninterrupted through every Minnesota winter storm.

Driveway Plowing

Professional driveway plowing triggered at your chosen accumulation threshold (typically 2 inches). We plow with the contour of your driveway to protect edges, pavers, and landscaping beneath the snow.

Sidewalk & Walkway Clearing

Hand-shoveled sidewalks, front walks, and entryways cleared down to pavement. We clear paths to mailboxes, garage doors, and any other access points specified in your service agreement.

De-Icing & Salt Application

Ice melt application on all cleared surfaces to prevent refreeze. We use calibrated application rates to protect concrete and pavers while maintaining safe walking conditions through temperature swings.

Commercial Snow & Ice Management

Commercial properties face real liability when snow and ice are not managed properly. Slip-and-fall incidents, inaccessible parking, and blocked fire lanes create legal exposure and business disruption. Our commercial snow programs are built around zero-tolerance ice management and documented service records.

We monitor weather forecasts continuously during winter months and dispatch crews proactively based on accumulation triggers defined in your contract. Every service visit is time-stamped and documented for your liability records.

Commercial Services Include:

  • Parking lot plowing with designated snow stacking areas
  • Sidewalk and building entrance clearing
  • Loading dock and fire lane access maintenance
  • Pre-treatment and anti-icing applications
  • 24/7 storm monitoring and proactive deployment
  • Documented service logs for liability protection
  • Hauling services for lots with limited stacking space

Snow Season in Minnesota

OCT

Pre-Season Preparation

Equipment inspection and route planning. Stake placement to mark driveway edges, lawn boundaries, and obstacles hidden under snow. Service agreements finalized with trigger thresholds and expectations.

NOV

Early Season Readiness

First snowfalls are often the trickiest — warm ground causes rapid melting and refreezing. We deploy for ice events even before plowable accumulations arrive. Pre-treatment of commercial surfaces begins.

DEC-FEB

Peak Winter Operations

Full snow removal operations with multiple passes for extended storms. Post-storm cleanup, snow stacking management, and continuous de-icing as temperatures fluctuate. Most residential driveways cleared before 7 AM.

MAR-APR

Late Season & Spring Transition

Late-season snow events and freeze-thaw cycles managed. Spring stake removal, sand sweeping, and property assessment for any plow damage or landscape repairs needed heading into the growing season.

Snow Removal FAQ

Residential driveway plowing in the Minnetonka area typically ranges from $45 to $95 per visit depending on driveway length, slope, and complexity. Seasonal contracts offer a fixed monthly rate (typically $150-$350/month for November through April) regardless of snowfall — protecting you from high-cost months. We quote after evaluating your specific property.

Our standard trigger is 2 inches of accumulation. You can customize this in your service agreement — some clients prefer a 1-inch trigger for zero-tolerance access, while others opt for 3 inches for budget control. Commercial properties often use a zero-tolerance approach with pre-treatment that prevents any accumulation.

For overnight storms, our goal is to complete residential driveways by 7 AM so you can get to work. During daytime storms, we make passes every 3-4 inches to keep accumulation manageable. Route position determines exact timing, and we can discuss priority scheduling if you have early departure needs.

We place stakes in October to mark driveway edges, lawn boundaries, and any obstacles (sprinkler heads, decorative borders, etc.) that will be hidden under snow. Our operators are trained on your specific property layout. Plow shoes are set to ride just above the surface rather than scraping. If any incidental damage occurs, we repair it in spring at no cost.

Both options are available. Seasonal contracts spread the cost evenly across winter months with a fixed rate regardless of snowfall — giving you budget certainty. Per-visit pricing charges only when we plow, which can save money in light-snow years but costs more in heavy ones. Most clients prefer the predictability of seasonal contracts.

Absolutely — and most of our clients do. Bundling lawn care and snow removal with one company means year-round property care with a crew that already knows your property. We offer discounted rates for clients who bundle both seasons, and the transition between services is seamless.
